Received a call and voicemail from this number on my cell phone. It says the location is Gardena, CA. A recorded voice identified themselves as the IRS notifying me of a law suit the IRS is going to file against me and to return the call at the same number. I looked up the IRS phone numbers for California and shockingly this one was not listed. Total scam. Please beware.
Left Voicemail message. Female-sounding automated voice said: "Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS. Internal Revenue services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately 310-897-9147, I repeat 310 897-9147. Thank you."
The IRS ("Services"??) never calls and threatens anyone before filing a lawsuit. This is not just a minor prank call, it is a SCAM!! If you call them back they will attempt to extort you.
