Said they were IRS and were filling lawsuit for unpaid tax. Told them I would get cashiers check and have them meet at the local police dept for payment. They hung up.
The caller indicated there was a tax fraud lawsuit about to be filed against me and I should call them immediately. My caller I.D. had "unassigned" as the caller's name not IRS! Have had these calls before.
A got a call from this number and I called it back, they stated they were an irs fraud officer and called my name(caller id) so I repeated his badge number back but he gave me another one. he was an Idian speaking man and when I continued to question him about thiss sounds like a scam,he hung up on me and wouldn't answer after i repeatedly called back.
NOTE: This is NOT how the IRS conducts business. they send letters out for you to respond.
6th scam call today. Now it's these people. I've disconnected my answering machine because of such calls. But let it ring to my fax machine. Hope they enjoyed the fax tones.
