Guy said he was calling from A1 Construction. They've called me many times in the past, and every time I've asked to be removed from the list. Obviously that doesn't work.
This number as well as 5 or 6 other numbers from other states too all started to call me this morning. They don't leave a msg.. I tried calling all of them back and only the one at 310-954-2869 had their system set up to allow you to ask them to take you off their call list. Called Degree First. However, the other numbers either you get a dropped call every time you try and call them or it says the line is busy and can not be connected. You never hear a busy signal, it just tells you it is busy. This all came about from an email I got which showed a $25 gift certificate from CVS stating if I filled out a 5 min. questionnaire, I could then click a button to have the $25 transferred to my health card at CVS. I accepted their request to email me more info from several different companies via email but did not give them permission to call me. So, this morning, all these calls started just as I stated above. I am now answering them to tell them to take me off their list. One company they said it was tied to in their email I was sent was Group-on a marketing company. I went into CVS thinking I had $25 on my health card account and the manager told me it was a scam in that these emails aren't from CVS but the photo they show in the email of the gift card from CVS is a legit pic of their gift cards. The manager has never seen CVS promote themselves this way and he didn't know if I'd ever get a $25 dollar credit to my account. They don't ask for any banking info or SS# but I see this is a way for a marketing company to get you hooked into giving your phone number and then they either sell them to all these different comanies or maybe they are all owned by the same one. I pisses me off to be used this way as they must have some way to know I have a CVS account as I do and had just bought something from CVS the day before. So, in getting this email stating it was from CVS seemed legit. Is there someone we can contact to alert them to this company playing off of CVS in this way?
