...just another Phishing message to try and scam us...
I did not enter a contest for a Best Buy certificate - not sure what the scam is but I am sure they need my credit card number to cover the "shipping"...
I received a text from this number at 12:11 am central time. The message told me to go to http://www. bestbuy.com.wgmc.biz/?claimd=912 and enter a winning number to claim a $1000 Best Buy gift card. This was received on 04/30/2012
I have a new phone number that I have not used for any public transactions. I got this message:
"Your entry last month has WON! Go to http://bestbuy.com.wgmc.biz/?claimid=912 and enter your winning code "6655" to claim your free Best Buy gift card"
Since I hadn't entered any contests, and this number is not public, I figured this could be a random scam/phishing attempt.
I googled the number and text, and from other reports, it looks like this is scam of some sort.
