I got the call..From Inglewood..LA...twice yesterday..in Spanish..they said something about the Department of Health..which was a little alarming....I told them I do not speak much Spanish and they hung up..some one from Tucson AZ used to have this number several years ago..with a Spanish name ..so they are calling only Spanish speaking people..I guess..I would like to know why they are calling about the health department...Ed
Talking with them right now. Spanish telemarketers based in California. I received a call weeks ago. After the "Licenciada" hung up on me upon realizing she was not getting a sale, I continued to receive prank calls for about a couple weeks. The caller would not speak; upon answering the caller would hang up. Sometimes I was asked to press 1 if I was interested, so one day I dialed 1 to advise someone to place me on the do not call list. When I mentioned do not call, the caller hung up. So I hoped they might have placed me on the list without the benefit of an answer. Lo and behold, they have called me again, only to offer a 3-month supply of vitamin supplements at a "discounted rate" of $179. This caller was educated and professional, so I stayed on the line to verify their legitimacy. After the presentation, the caller passed me to "General Director" of the company, I was so honored! He mentioned the brand name is Alfa Vitamins and assured me these products are 100% natural, as I am a vegan. I agreed to a 6-month supply for the same low price of $179, IF they would only show me their website or facebook page, an address, something to prove their legitimacy. We hung up on good terms. I am sure I will get a call back once they think of something better to try to convince me. I am visiting the http://www.donotcall.gov site next.
