I've gotten several calls from this number. Twice I've answered a couple weeks apart. The first time I got a call it was from what sounded to be an American male (uncommon for call centers when most of our jobs are outsourced) He claimed to be from the CDC and conducting research blablahblah. I told him he was better off calling a scientist and refused to participate. Kept getting calls everyday after that. Second time I answered I got an American female, claiming to be from the Health Department. I asked her to stop calling. They can't decide on an agency to pretend to be. Don't give them any information. My number's on a do-not-call list, next time they call I'm going to ask for their address and write a violation letter to the Attorney General. The AG is pretty good about scaring the pants off of companies like this. The problem is that they'll probly just get a new number. I'd say 4chan your stories. See if anyone there gets an itch to help them loose your number.
They called me several times aslo claiming it was a survey about childhood immunizations, I answered some of the questions, but then they asked me about numer of cell phones in my house, I asked what that had to do with immunization shots and they couldn't answer. They asked about race, income, nationalization and other topics but couldnt explain what these subjects had to do with childhood immunizations, when I refused to answere these the called pressured me to answer. Personally I believe it has a lot more to do with government controlled health care then it does with anything else.
They have called my cell # twice and I talked to the first time and told them I am not interested. Ironically, if it is the real CDC they should be aware that you cannot get this information because of HIPPA laws without express permission. One time being told no should be enough. Secondly a legitimate business should honor the Do Not Call list, whether a govt survey or whatever.
I doubt their legitimacy - this is no way to conduct legitimate business.
And as a side - to you goofballs doing it on this site - this is not the place for a political forum, especially with such totally idiotic statements..
No, that is illogical that it has anything to do with the new health care initiative. Besides, what do you think insurance companies are doing as far as healthcare???. Note that it is a University doing the survey. More likely it is for research at the university level.
