I just activated a new phone number yesterday and I've already received three calls from this number today - in less than two hours! I have no outstanding bills, so they must be trying to reach someone who had my number before. Is it worth answering and telling them they have the wrong number or they just keep calling regardless? Maybe I should change my number?
Follow up: After multiple calls everyday, I called the number back and got hold of a live person (yes, it is a collection agency). Told her I just got this phone number a few days ago, the name they have associated with the number isn't mine, I'm not the person they're trying to reach, and she said they'd remove me from their system so I stop getting calls. If it doesn't work the first time, I'll keep bugging them like they're bugging me (I've got unlimited local calls *evil grin*), and maybe it'll stop...
