I have received at least two phone calls from Commonwealth Financial Systems. The message only says about one sentence, and that is in a foreign language, which I'm thinking is in Spanish.I hit Star 69 on my phone, and got the phone number and called back. It was Commonwealth Financial Systems. The male voice wanted me to give him my birth date and social security number. I told him no. Then he said he could not go any further and hung up.
I had to call back in order to determine that
the folks hiding behind the anonymous number
312-212-8331 are in fact debt collectors,
operating out of Scranton,PA, under the
name Commonwealth Financial Systems, Inc.
They were unable to tell me the purpose
of their call. Apparently they might indulge
in harassment of clients, as several
web pages report. E.g.
