I recieved several calls on a pay day loan that was over 6 years old that I had defaulted. I was told I was going to be charged with check fraud, sent to jail for it, FBI was going to be notified if I didn't pay all that was owed plus fees. I had to check with my attorney, his advice was our state laws defined this loan over the number of years needed to be processed as collecticable. They kept threatening me for a few weeks. Check with an attorney, debt counselors on your individual cases and don't be hesitate to call Federal Trade Commission because we have consumer rights on debts.
Just so you know this company is a scam . Just got a call at the job and they asked for a employee. I told the person there are no personal calls allowed and she kept telling me she was investgating something on her, when I pushed for details all that was left of the call was a dial tone.
