Walker,
they must be in full swing today, because I too got a call on May 24th, right around 10:52 AM EST (about 20 minutes ago). I just finished work for the next few weeks due to maternity and actually came online to look and see if it is a legit call that I should bother with or a scam. I too will trust what Mr. Whodatcat said and take it as a scam. People amaze me; I could never imagine trying to take advantage of senior citizens like that. My husband's grandmother, who lives in Texas, fell for one the other day the needed to 'verify her bank' information. It's horrendous to me what people will do.
I get multiple calls daily from 312 239 3612. They never leave a message but let the voice mail fill up with the sound of "nothing." When I do answer, they say nothing.
The call is an auto call and wont stop bothering me! When I called them back to ask them to take me off of there list I got another recording that says "I'm sorry. There's no one to talk to you right now. Good-bye"
