What I can only presume is a collection company blindly trolls phone listings that match the names of people it apparently is trying to bill-collect from. They call twice a day, usually around 9 and 2 (using different numbers). Ignored for a week, but finally had to answer to put an end to it. Automated voice asks you to press any key. Then you get put on hold for several minutes. Then they tell you they have "confidential information" and ask you to verify your name, then your date of birth. In my case, the DOB didn't match (like I knew it wouldn't because we pay our bills on time) so demanded they remove me from the database. Automatron called back several hours later. And again this morning. Went though the whole process again and demanded once again that they stop calling. "There's nothing to get upset about sir," the woman says. Sorry, begging to differ.
