A "Special Investigator" Fred Meyers called my mother's home number who then asked for my little brother and oldest brother's father (whom I have no contact with) and asked for me by name. He never left a number with them. I got the number from Caller ID, was told I had an outstanding account and civil and criminal charges will be filed against me unless I pay $1400!! I don't know who he is or where he got his information from, but he wouldn't verify anything. After doing some research, I found this number belonged to International Judgements Services. Although this is a true debt, my creditor informed me they don't deal with these people and this was indeed a scam.
I received a call from international judgement services regarding a payday loan I took back in 2001. This was the second company to call me regarding this loan, which I believed I had paid back in 2001 when I was still stationed in the VA (u.s. marine here). I paid them the amount they requested, I believed that with the website and the other information they gave me that they were legitimate. I had also been contacted by another company, Profile Recovery Group regarding the same matter and they seemed like a fraud as well. I received a court release form number and I believed the matter was settled. This was all back in March of 2009. Just a week ago I received a call from the Profile Recovery Group trying to extract more money from me for this loan that I took back in 2001. I cant recall the company I took the loan with, something like First East. It was a payday loan place in VA. Any recourse that can be taken, if anyone knows of any, against this company? The website they gave me ijservicesllc.com is no longer up and I only get the voice mail when I call them. Would like to talk to others who feel they have been exploited by these people and perhaps see if there is any kind of action we can take. Respond on this website. Was also curious if other people were military members? Ive read several pages regarding similiar scams and it seems like many involve military people. Thanks

these guys are pretty amazing an "Inspector" Miles started calling my mother in law telling her my husband had listed her as a emergency contact and that it was to do with a court appearance and he needed to call them asap.. but we have no clue what they are talking about so my husband had called them back and had to leave a message which he did and rather than them calling him back they called his uncle in Washington with the same lame [***] story so my co worker and I decided to do some research we called the company they call themselves "International Judgement Services" they refused to give any information including their address and now I find a bunch of stories from other people that are being harassed by them this is totally a scam somehow they find out debts that you owe or owed and are trying to collect on them with their threatening illegal tactics DO NOT BE FOOLED! I work for a collection agency and these guys are totally of the hook!!

They told my husband that he has a debt owed to Chase and my husband said he never had an account with them but International Judgment services insisted he owed almost 6,000 and said everything would be forgiven if he paid $546 by the end of the month and if he didn't then he would be going to court and asked to pay the 6,000. My husband just asked me to look on the internet for their address and I could not find it on their website. They almost scammed my husband! What a big scam! Thanks again.
