I've had numerous calls from this "Chicago IL" number but this was the first time I answered, wanting to see what kind of scam it was. I I was laughing through much of it as it was so predictable. First a woman telling me I had won a free offer -- initiated by 'someone in your household' who had clicked on something that gave a prize for me. Then she transferred me to their 'remittance department' and a man told me I had won a FREE, all paid inclusive Two Person Cruise to the Bahamas!!! Free except for a $59 port fee -- and then he started mentioning a credit card -- at which time I told him I knew this was a scam and to take me off his call list. He didn't stop talking for a moment, just kept insisting that this was a benefit for me, a free Bahamas cruise --- almost as if he had switched on a recording with that sales pitch. After repeating several times to take my name off his call list, with no response or break in the apparent recording, I hung up. Hopefully, they now realize they can't pull a scam like that on me and will give up. After probably selling my number to a flock of other telemarketers, unfortunately, There is an odd little chime that usually plays at the beginning of when my recorder clicks on and when they finally hang up -- they usually stay on long enough for my recorder to recognize it as a 'message.'
Another call on my CELL from these creeps. They never leave a message. Trying to call back gets one of those recorded "this number is out of service" messages.
