Left a message claiming that I entered a sweepstakes online at some point and my ticket was drawn to have won a new 2011 Ford Escape vehicle. She left a 1-877 number to call the prize director.
Sounds like it could be a potential scam where I would have to send them money disguised as "insurance" for the prize.
Message left by a female caller saying she was calling about my sweepstakes entry for a Ford Explorer. Call is coming from Chicago, IL. I don't enter contests. This is a old scam. A second call was left from a female from the Prize Center, telephone number 1-708-679-1625 saying please call us back at 1-708-679-1054.
I got a call from this number too which the machine took. Also saying that I had won a Ford explorer and asking me to call back. Sure it is a scam because I never enter any contests.
I got a call from this nuber saying I won a Ford Explorer, telling me to call 877-418-2687 to claim my prize. I called the number and informed them that I had notified the FTC of thier SCAM and I hope they all goto jail for fraud!!!!! Oh and they had caller i.d with the name of Griffin, R.

And people, people, please... If some one calls, text, emails you, telling you, you won money, or they'll give you money, its a scam... Do not part with your hard earned money, if you didn't ask for nothining...
Same MO. I won a Ford Explorer. Call to claim. Needless to say I did not and will not. Same caller ID Griffin, R with a female voice. Ignore these. I think we can get rid of the FCC is they cannot do their job and get and prosecute or shut these people down. What use are they. Save the government some money as well.
