Below is the National No Call List. Read it carefully! Government waste when they don't make it simple enough to file a complaint. We registrar our numbers but they don't protect the people. This is a joke. Just don't answer the phone. You can tell when your phone has a certain ring tone that it is a robo call or a telemarketer. Read the REMINDER which is in the middle. Call your congressmen and tell them to change the law on way business call citizens and complain about the complexity of DNC. They work for us and we should receive the protection we are asking for.
FILE A COMPLAINT
1.You may file a complaint if you received an unwanted call after your number was on the National Registry for 31 days.
2.You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).
*Reminder:Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company. I registered on the no call registry @ https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx?panel=3. Area code is from Chicago. I checked the # @ www.whitepages.com & no company name or anything appeared. When it called me today it hung up once my answering maching answered. I called it back by putting *67 in front of my # & the message says "You were called to participate in a survey, now the survey time has expired & if you don't want to participate in future surveys press 2". I pressed 2 just to see what it would do, but the message just keeps repeating itself then they just hang up. I reported them calling me today since my # is registered on the no call registry. I reported them online with the Federal Trade Commission @ https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
