Received a call from this number, did not pick up, no message left. Another number from another scammer, it seems like. If you can help it, never answer a call from a number you don't recognize. They do stop calling, eventually... but new numbers will pop up.
I got call on my cell phone from 312-283-3772. I did not recognize the number but answered because I was expecting a call. What sounded like a real female voice said, 'Hello, my name is Emily and because you've stayed at one of our resorts in the past we have an amazing deal for you....Orlando....Bahamas...Rental car...Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner...dada, dada, da.' 'Can I ask you a few questions before I transfer you to a travel coordinator?' Still thinking it was a live person I said, 'I would like to ask you a question first.' The question I was planning to ask was, 'how did you get this information that I stayed at one of your resorts in the past?' because I have never stayed at a resort. I was walked on and was asked the same question again so again I asked if I could ask a question. And again I was walked on. Finally realizing that this was not a real person I answered her question with an adamant 'no'. The line went blank. I would be interested in knowing what these scammers think they will be gaining from this. "Emily" waited until I said 'hello' a second time and then said "she" was having trouble with her headset. Scam! Scam! Scam written all over this.
I kept getting bogus calls too then I downloaded an app called Mr. Number. I am not advertising this and it is FREE but I LOVE this app because it blocks calls and suspected spam. I got it from Google Play and put it on my Android phone. When you download it go into the settings and set it up the way you want. It even gives me caller ID on landline phones better than my regular phone does. Since I got it I have received NO calls like this. The app even tells me when it blocked a call and gives me details in case I want that number unblocked. It sure helped me. Good Luck...those spammers always seem to get around most systems eventually, however. Works for now, though.
