Very Interesting...Got a call from the infamous Larry this morning- took a message- and got info from him- "seems" legit- but after reading this info we will be calling Spectrum (formerly TW) back directly- Larry gave me some "referral number" while on the phone as well...
Anyone else think he sounded like the Sloths from Zootopia?? (the DMV scene??) anyway- thats all i could picture in my head with how slowly he spoke..
Was contacted by Larry Lapine with Spectrum Business Formerly TWC advising I had an outstanding account balance due immediately ...I in fact previously had ported my business lines to CenturyLink and Spectrum OWES me a refund that will be sent within 30 days of canceling my services. Upon completing my call with "Larry" I then called Spectrum and was advised this is a Scam!! DO NOT PAY A PENNY!!
I received a call from "Peter" stating that I was 3 months delinquent on my phone bill. I proceeded to tell him that was incorrect and that I would have to call him back once I checked with our accountant. He gave me this number to call back and it rang and rang then a recording ask me to leave my name and number. -- DEFINITELY SOMETHING SOUNDS AND SMELLS FISHY
Received 4 calls within 2 hours from 312-288-2586 with a robo stating my spectrum account is past due $194.88. I have 3 spectrum accounts. Called Spectrum direct and no accounts are past due however they said they are getting flanked with other people calling in about the same thing. Just got another call. This time is was a live person stating I was behind $236.00. I asked which account is behind because I have 3 accounts. He hung up on me.
