I blocked this caller immediately, instead of expressing my opinion of their sick game. I will be contacting Verizon about this issue. This has never happened to me before. How are these people getting my phone number?? Saying they've seen pictures of me???

Even I got one with a very nasty message. XXX rated to say the least. Forward any unwanted texts to 7726 (SPAM). Your carrier will block. FYI hundreds if not thousands have been receiving them over this holiday.
Yes, you're right. 800notes is inundated with reports about these numbers. Here's some advice from the FTC about what to do and some info on call blocking apps for your cell.
SPAM TEXTS
NEVER respond to these texts. From the FTC:
Do not respond to unwanted texts or emails from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers allow you to forward unwanted texts by simply texting it to 7726 (or "SPAM") to block the sender. Check with your provider about other options.

For one, how do they get my number & two, how do they even know my name?! This is creepy. I received another text and I'm extremely weirded out. I too, have Verizon. Wth?!
