got a phone call and when I answered they hung up. Upon reverse calling I got a message saying the number was either disconnected or no longer in service. After going through a number of "free" reverse number lookups, none of which gave anymore information than that the number was an Ameritech landline located in the south Loop, I came across this website and decided to post my experience.

These calls were from an Ameritech landline located in the south Loop.
