Got a call, she stated that she was calling for ComEd and was doing a follow up on repairs that ComEd did. She had my name and cell but I'm going to block them anyway cause I wasn't aware of any outages or corrections done to property damage
Same as all the others, they call numerous times, never leave a message, and no one speaks when you do answer the phone. They must get paid by the call, so don't answer. Would be nice to know how to stop these types of calls, we should complian to our representatives to ammend the do not call laws to include "market research" firms that are obviously not doing any maket research. Perhaps getting this kind of call more publicity so that the companies that hire them realize that they are paying for mostly "empty" calls and bogus research.
Call showed up on my desk phone, I answered, the line disconnected. Within 5 minutes, another officemate received a call from the same number. Within 45 minutes 4 other people had received a call from the same number with a hangup after they answered. No voice or recorded message. Apparently some robot confirming if the numbers go to a person or to voicemail/fax etc.
Been getting a lot of hang ups lately, but this time I answered and a man said "Hello" as if he knew me. I was expecting another phone call and had answered in a silly way, so he just kept saying hello and I just kept saying nothing. He finally hung up. I did a *69 and got the number and entered it into my computer. I am on the do not call list and do not want this company calling me. Looks like this company has been around for awhile. Anything that can be done about it? I am an elderly female and don't appreciate these hang ups or any kind of unsolicited calls.
Just got a call on my office phone. Caller ID read BLACKSTONE. I answered and got a recording of a female voice saying something about calling from CREDIT CARD SERVICES and that there was nothing wrong with my credit card, so I hung up.
