Richard, it is NOT the IRS. If the IRS had filed a lawsuit against you, you would know about it because you would have been served papers. Whoever is calling us from the number 312-458-5721 is only trying to scam you out of money. If you want to do something, go to the website of your State Att. General's office and file a complaint with them.

Same poorly recorded messaged saying they are IRS and have a case against me, to call them back.
think the DNC list applies to this caller and why would a criminal register for, pay for and screen against the list anyway? They are not selling goods or services nor qualifying you as a sales prospect for a third party. They are running the IRS scam but that is not a DNC violation and would not even be investigated as such. However the US Treasury Inspector General for Tax Affairs is investigating these calls and you can report the call to them.
