Called and didn't leave a message. I never answer phone numbers I don't know. Could be Portfolio Associates. Just added to my list of Portfolio numbers with date of call
They called and I picked up out of curiosity. It was an "offer" to lower my interest rate for my "high-interest bearing credit card account." When I asked her which card of mine had a "high-interest bearing account", she couldn't answer the question. When I asked to be taken off the list, she hung up on me.
I have gotten several calls from that number telling me they can lower my credit card balances and rates. I pushed "1" to be connected and I got a man saying "Account Services". When I asked what the name of the company was, he told me I was too pathetic to spend time on and he hung up on me. I tried dialing the number back and I get a recorded message that the number is no longer in service. Now that is what I call a scam!
