Someone with this phone number somehow obtained my cell phone number. This person was using a land line in Chicago. He/she would not identify himself/herself,.or the business about which the call was about. When identifcation was not forthcoming I disconnected. I advise that a person should not answer the phone if someone calls from this number.
The first thing a caller should do is to state their name and business before they ask to speak to a specific party.
Why is that these "free" reverse telephone services end up asking for money? I tried to find out who called me, but several "free" online services wanted to charge me a fee. They all said that they had located the name and business, but to get the "final report", they wanted money. If they advertize a free service, that is the way it ought to be.
This is as disreputable as the original anonymous caller.
I refused to speak to the first and also refused to pay the second.
This is a scam, report them to the do not call registry and the fcc and eventually something will get done. The more complaints they get, the faster something will be done about it.
I got this call saying they're going to close my acct. etc. press 1 to talk to a person. I got the person and they said I understand you want to lower your credit card rates. I said no i want to be put on the DNC list and they hung up before I could finish.
