My call blocker does not work as well as I would like, but I found another nifty way to deal with telemarketers who do not respect the no call list. My telephone plan with Comcast has selective call forwarding, i.e. I can have calls from specific telephone numbers forwarded to another number without the telephone ringing in my home. So I have calls from telemarketers like this forwarded to the phone number of another junk telemarketer. This phone number called 4 times this week. After it first showed up as a missed call, because I do not answer the phone unless I recognize the caller, I instructed Comcast to forward calls from this number to another junk caller. The phone did not ring in my home the next three times it called (they only showed up as missed calls), but it did ring some other telemarketer's line . The selective call forwarding does not affect any telephone numbers from reaching me if I have not specifically selected it for forwarding.
When you get a real person on the other side. Asked them in a soft voice are you listening? Then as loud as you can start screaming into the phone so they get the full brunt of your amplitude.
This is a scam to lower your credit card interest rates. Informed the appropriate state attorney generals and the US Trade Commission.
