I am also getting calls from the national fraud prevention center 312-800-9236 stating I am being prosecuted for stealing federal funds and if I didn't pay they were sending a was rent for my arrest. A local # called stating they were the Philadelphia police called telling me to cooperate which puzzled me. I was getting nervous it wasn't till I spoke to them again and the man officer jimmy brown stated I could pay using gift cards I purchased at cvs. I then knew it was a scam. Thanks for posting your stories
These folks are calling and pretending they are DOJ of Chicago Illinos and saying you owe money to a creditor and is collecting for them. Then they threaten you by telling you that they will arrested you if you dont pay.
Got a call telling me there was an arrest warrant issued for me by the Federal Dept of Justice. Even gave me a "file #". When I asked for his name he gave me a name but refused to give me a phone number where I could check his credentials. Google the number and thanks to John listing his call I'm not too worried. Made a threat of being arrested. I checked on line for any such warrant. None exists. I don't believe they have an account from anyone with my name.
Thank you guys for your comments. I just received a call from this number and was threatened to be locked up bogus when asked for the name of company that is making the collection, really couldn't understand what he said. I asked dude not to call my job anymore or I was going to have him locked up. End of call.
dont believe anything from the phone number 3124898133 because they are full of it. I want them to be put behind bars. these people are a complete scam.
