The guy threatened my husband by saying he was going to call the authorities on him. Claimed to be a representative from PLS Loans and said he knows what my husband looks like because they have cameras in the store. Turns out, he's not a PLS employee. We called them up and gave them the phone number to investigate further. They're thinking it's their collection agency and said they'd follow up with us soon.
I just received this call as well for one of my employees. I work for a collection agency. For the record, what he's doing is considered harrassment and is in violation of the FDCPA( Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). I've filed a complaint against him and his company. By Federal Law if you tell a collection agency not to call you at work, they can no longer contact you at that number.
