Have been getting calls as well trying to find out about my credit card processing. The want to know if I am the owner and will not tell me how they got my phone number. The number they call is only listed on my site http://www.smokeking.com so I know that is where they are getting the info but yet they won't give out any info to me when they call.
312 506-3680 Real pissant from Landmark Business. Insisted he had contacted our business Nov 4th and we had requested a quote. I told him we had not spoken. He asked how I knew. I told him " I am a one-man business and I never spoke to him. He then proceeded to bombard me with calls and faxes. It is still going on. If anyone will send me an address I know a couple of boys in Gary IN who will be happy to go talk to them.
Rude woman called from this number trying to get info about our methods of payment. Searched the number while she was talking and found posts that this was a telemarketer with a habit of harassing people. Asked if she was a telemarketer, she said no. Asked her to state her purpose - she refused to say anything but that she could be a potential customer. I told her I had looked her up, and she said I was rude. I again asked why she was calling and did not get a straight answer. I hung up on her and she called back to tell me that was not business savvy and try her pitch again. I hung up on her again and she still tryed to call back. I haven't answered this number again.
Sad to say they called me, again, and again, and again, and again and again. Asking questions like how many CC purch do you have a month told them sorry that information is not allowed to be given out. Then told they had a right to ask, I told them NO they didn't. Then they told me how they could save my company money, I asked what did my company do? They said they didn'tknow so I answered HOW the hell can you save me money then?.
Indiana law prohibits any company from tactics like this, IF THEY CALL YOU, go on line and file with the State Attorney Generals office, IT's online and it's FREE.
Calls 2 days in row.....must music playing on my voice mail....assume it was auto-dialing at work....when a live person answers they would have picked up.
