This robot call got me, lol. I was expecting a call from the 312 area code, and the voice sounded real on the other end, though a bit young, which threw me a bit from the call I was expecting. But it went something like this. "Hello this is Emily"....Pause. I say Hello again. Emily; "I'm sorry...my headphones weren't on right.." she laughs. I laugh (like a dork) then she starts saying "Recently you stayed at one of our resorts" Then I'm like..oh [***]. It's a sales person. But I thought she was REAL. So I ask her, "What resort?" I haven't been anywhere since 2014. She keeps rambling on. Then FINALLY I catch on it's a robo call. She starts asking me questions. I answered with an expletive She says, "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." I started just saying nonsense into the phone and Emily hung up. Boy, this sounds REAL. Don't worry about saying yes, check out snopes, that's pretty much an urban legend about them charging stuff to your accounts by trying to get a recording of you saying yes.
The "headset" thing is a known scam to get you to say "yes" when they ask if you can hear them. Then they reverse bill international collect calls to your phone because they have a recording of you saying "yes" (played when asked if the charges will be accepted.
Another vacation scam from the city of dirt bags, Chicago. They also call from 312-948-0424, 312-702-2775, 312-948-8672, 312-924-7985, and many, many others. Might as well block the entire 312 area code, nothing but criminals in Chicago anyway, Al Capone would be proud
