Called this morning (caller ID reads "Illinois Number"). When I answered, the phone rang and I got a message that said, "Thank you for calling ICS. Due to technical difficulties, we are unable to answer your call at this time." Not sure how that works when they called my place of employment?
This is Illinois collection services. A collection agency. When they tell you the call is being recorded for "quality assurance" you tell them Illinois is a 2 party state and you MUST have my consent to record which you do not have.
They usually hang up at that point. Be wary of the male caller as he is very threatening on the phone.Their tactic is to call hang up and hope you call back. Add them to your phones blocked list. And verbally tell them to cease and desist.As protection against them freezing your assets,bring your bank account down to 10 cents. They can freeze THAT all day long.
Got several rude calls from them this morning! Asking for my baby's date of birth. When I refused, they hung up. I called back and another rude woman told me she was handling personal matters and refused to say anything further.
