I received the same email with the same dates, phone numbers and amounts but from someone named Brenda Lockhart, and it said I had 4 hours to respond. Well that was yesterday and I'm still here and not in jail, as they claimed. This is definitely a scam; if it was a legitimate case from a legitimate company, they would have contacted us by certified mail and not by threatening us by phone or email. "If you take care of this outside the courthouse...", that's their way of scamming some money out of you, if you believe their threats. Believe me, I've been there before and it wasn't fun. It just pissed me off that these scammers are continuing to scare so many people and getting away with it. And if you do happen to call the number, more than likely you'll be talking to someone with an American name and a thick foreign accent. Don't believe them!
It's not possible for a collector, court, of state attorney to garnish SSI/SSDB.
Only the federal government can do that and ONLY for things that were guaranteed by the federal government, such as federal student loans and such.
A collection agency can not threaten you with arrest, as the alluded to with the "bail charges" and "individual bail charges".
It is against federal law for a collector to state the above.
As they are breaking federal law, they are criminals and fakes.

I have had some one doing the same thing to me i am a police academy graduate and i know the laws and i got the FTC involved not to say that this person also has hacked in my email account and he says his name is William Hartman
Just got an email from these people as well, asking for the $578.68 that I owe them. Number comes up T mobile. No lawyer listed with that same information. They also use another number of 3127572520. Beware of these and alert everyone you know so they don't become a victim of this. CSID is aware of this scam and will be monitored.
Got same email as y'all. So I called an person with thick accent. Answered saying Mrs Brenda Lockhart in mtg she return my phone call..also threatening me with wage garnishment..So I'm guessing scam?
