I got a text from this # at 11pm. Since I pay per text, I didn't open it. Rec'd another text from a different 312 # earlier that according to this site, is some Walmart gift card scam. HATE scammers!!

I received a text at 2:20 this morning - just like Longlegs it was a Walmart gift card scam. I also pay per text, but it doesn't matter if I open it or not.
I've received this message twice in two days. Both times it was a different number. Once from 312-547-9352 (11:17pm), once from 312-576-4556 (6:50pm). Did anyone else get this combination of numbers?
I too wonder how they got my phone number. I've bought things from Walmart online before but its been a few years.
Does this make sense to anyone else? Have any of you bought online?
My phone is also pay as you go? Is it possible we're being targeted? No one with a regular phone has spoken up yet so it makes you wonder. I opened mine (twice) but I wasn't charged either time.
The only time I'm not charged for text messages is if it originated with Tracfone. Could someone have hacked into their system?
