This is Charles Demes. My services are not at all related to debt collection; nor is this a scam. By law, a debt collection agency must disclose up-front that they are attempting to collect a debt. Our company is NOT a debt collection agency. There are two other companies (Capital Recovery Corporation and Capital Recovery Collection Solutions) that are debt collection agencies, but we are not affiliated with these companies. We are a legitimate asset recovery company and have received an “A” rating (the highest awarded) from the Chicago Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/f ... ago-il-86001836).
With respect to scams, scams are based on money up-front. My proposal is based on a contingency which means our fee is extracted from the recovered funds. We are only paid if we are successful in recovering the funds for the beneficiary.
My company locates unclaimed assets, e.g., inheritances. These are moneys that were never recovered by an individual because they either did not know the money existed or because they passed away (and I am therefore trying to contact next of kin). If you doubt my claims, you can get references from some of the thousands of clients for whom I have helped recover money over the 20 years I have been in the business. My company is also a member of the Chicago Better Business Bureau--a watchdog organization that screens companies for exactly the types of scams you are worried about.
If I, or anyone from my company, have ever contacted you it is because we have found a legitimate asset that you (or your family) have legal claim to. We charge a fee that covers finding the asset, finding the individuals who can legally claim the asset (which can take months of work), and legally processing the claim in this highly specialized field to win these cases so the money goes to our clients and not the many creditors that can also lay claim to these funds. Each case can take months or years of work, but in the end, you and your family get a check for the agreed upon amount. If we cannot secure the money for whatever reason, we don't get paid. In other words, if you don't get paid, we don't get paid. Please contact us if you have any further questions about our services, or visit our website www.capitalrecoveryllc.com
Thank you.
What he does is locates Surplus Foreclosure Proceeds. I had a foreclosure and the proceeds from the sale were more than owed and the Surplus will go back to me the home owner. You can search all the unclaimed sites and nothing comes up. Go to the local county clerks office of the town the foreclosure was in. This probably applyies to delinquent tax deed sales also. Im glad I didnt give this guy 33% of whats mine and all I need to do is go to the county clerk and spend $50. Its ridiculus how he was telling me that it was a death inheritance from 1997. Dont sign it ! !
I'm originally from NY, and about 7 years ago , I moved to Seattle to take a job as a systems analyst and at an up and coming company, that I thought I had long term career potential at. Last year, my company fell victim to our current recession and went out of business, and just like that I was out of a job. Since I'm single, and I had no family in the Seattle area, I decided to move back to NY to be closer to my parents, and my brother. I thought when I made the cross country move back to NY that I had been pretty thorough in wrapping up all my financial affairs, but it turns out I missed something. Charles Demes contacted me and said he thought there were some unclaimed funds due to me, and that he could recover them for me. Charles proposal was entirely contingent, so I signed the contract and mailed it back to Charles. It turns out that Charles found an account that I had over looked that was classified as dormant / unclaimed because of inactivity. It was an account that my financial advisor invested in for me when I first got to Seattle. It was only for a few thousand dollars, but every little bit helps in this tough economy. Thank you Charles !!!
Chucky Baby, I never knew my Uncle Roy but my dad and his siblings always wondered about his whereabouts. It was bitter sweet for the family when you brought it to our attention of his passing. We do appreciate that when you settled his estate, you set aside some funds for a gravestone. On a good note, the whole family went out to our favorite restaurant in south Philly and toasted Uncle Roy. Thanks for your efforts
Satisfied customer! My only problem was that the agency that held the funds sold the stock soon after my Mom's passing and My mom passed away over twenty years ago. Therefore , they earned all the interest on that money and probably the countless other cases they're handling. So when Demes finally found us, we never got any accrued interest which is wrong. They should of left the stock alone (especially the GE stock) and sold it when the heirs are found. But that's spilt milk- Thanks Mr. Demes
I'm a former employee of Capital Recovery . From what I gathered it's basically a family run business and growing. They seem pretty diverse in their markets. I was a researcher and my concentration was defunct charitable foundations. It involved piercing a trust and locating potential beneficiaries. The company was square with me and their checks didn't bounce
