I get constant almost daily harassment hang up calls from this PH#. Never leaves a message, nor what it's about. Shows now on White Pages ID app this is Harris from Chicago ILL. Reading several of these complaints about running red lights & unpaid parking tickets! Well, I've NEVER driven nor NEVER parked in nor around Chicago in several years! I suffer panic attacks & don't dare drive anywhere near or in that area! NOW, I've lived in Michigan since 1974 & Indiana for 3-4 years prior to that & was born& raised in Missouri for years prior to all that!! So why the HELL AM I being called & harassed, a registered Do Not Call # on the Registry since the initial inception from when it was available for cell phones! Every time they call & hang up it uses my PAID cell minutes rounded UP TO the next minute!! These jackwads are costing ME money for REPEATEDLY harassing ME for NO APPARENT REASON, NO FEASIBLE REASON, AND DO NOT CALL MEANS DO NOT CALL!!
I received a call from a recording. The message cannot be understood. I live in Texas, I have never lived or driven in Chicago. I have no idea what this scam is, but I will not play into this unethical mess! The call came from an A S Harris, Law 312-348-1582.
This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

You are very welcome. I could find no attorney office under that name, I did find a Harris and Harris, so it is possible that whomever is contacting you is pretending to be one of these attorneys.
They call from different Chicago numbers always comes up A S Harris law. They are associated with Harris & Harris litigation which is a law firm. I get called everyday. I've called them a few times to tell them to stop, the person they're looking for doesn't live here, but they keep calling.
