They're one of those new drug treatment "referral services" that refers to only those that privately hired them. Real doctors don't hire operators to cold-call people in the middle of the night, ignoring Do Not Call. They're snake oil salesmen, at best. Solicitation from good doctors would be a conflict of interest, drumming up business that way. This in itself indicates they are at best borderline criminals. There have been a series of journalistic reports on guys like these lately, none of it good.
There are non-profit agencies in every state, and crisis lines in every town, that will be glad to give you free referrals to reputable local drug treatment services, if you need help. Even some religious agencies will help you. Start with your local or national crisis 800 hotline, United Way, a local hospital system, or your primary care physician if you have one. It's Big Business now, drug treatment scams. These guys are despicable vultures latching on to a fast buck at your expense.
