every single day i get a call from B.S. 312 area code with a scam - free cruise, change my electricity, change my credit card rate, i won this, i owe that.. i never answer and if they dont hang up andfill my machine with "if youd like to make a call please dial 1..." phone company recordings then the call block rings once before its blocked. i have blocked 34 numbers in April on unlisted, carefully guarded landline and 22 on cell phone that 5 ppl have number to and which had no problem until i was given online interface for my doctor and hospital. i did not give cell no. but gave land line. i did not ask or agree to be given this patient website thing but theyre all excited to put you on it so you can view your records, test results, appointments and give you health newsletters. they gave me a code that expired in 48 hours that was "mine", everytime i saw my doctor, and i told them i was not signing up for this. this is when all these relentless calls started.
