It is for a medical survey about your hospital visit. If you answer the call, a person comes on and asks for the patient by name. BTW even if you are on the DNC list, survey companies are exempt.
I used to work for this company. Medical facilities hire PRC to call patients to ask about the quality of care given, so they can see what area they need to improve in and what they are doing right. They don't have your personal info, only that you received service. They have their own DNC list, and will add you to it if you ask. If you don't answer your phone, they'll keep calling. Either do the survey, or tell them no thank you and add me to your DNC list.
You do not understand how intrusive this is especially when you have someone ill in your home and do not want the phone ringing constantly with unsolicited calls. Wake up and understand other people's situations.
Ok, 312 area code is indeed Chicago or near surrounding exchange. I am a patient in the Northshore system and I know they do call with automated survey..... if you were/are a patient with Northshore, then it would be a good idea to take their survey, especially if you experienced any problems. I actually got a call from same number but I was on another call and could not answer. BUT I have done surveys with them in the past. They don't ask for any identifying info. :)
