They are persistent, I had a voicemail waiting for me this morning (caller id: 555-555-5555) from Jason Crest saying he recently spoke to an old work colleague of mine and that calling him back would be very beneficial to me. No mention of the company he works for, the person he spoke to, or how he can benefit me. I have no intention of calling back. A quick Google search on the callback number (312-782-0202) shows the number belongs to: Gregory Laka & Company (http://laka.com) and this website.
Yes it's a recruiting company that likes to tell people that they got a glowing recommendation from someone about you. Which of course is just a lie to get you to call them back. I even tried asking who they got a recommendation from about me and they wouldn't tell me. At first the guy said well we can't tell you because we need to protect the other party, or some bs like that, then he said I'm sure you understand. Which I replied no I do not. Anyway this is the 3rd call I received from different people at this company saying the same bs.
I really can't stand recruiters, especially ones like this. I really wish there was something that could be done about it.

Got a similar message from this company. Dosent sound like it is genuine at all. Any recruiter worth his/her salt will leave a more detailed note about whay they are calling - not some cryptic message that says call back when the walls dont have ears - Please gimme a break!
