Yep got one today too about a tractor and truck we have on Craigslist that I listed this am. He sure is a persistant little critter. Many, many texts. is There anyway we can stop this? Ruins the fum of selling things on craigslist.
Got a text from number 312-798-9435 regarding a motorcycle I listed on Craigslist. I'm in Topeka, the number is out of Chicago. Text reads "Do you still have this item available for sale and in good condition? Classic Yamaha XJ 550 SECA - $1600 (Topeka)". Obviously a scam. Scammers must have a program that sends out hundreds of these texts. This is the third attempted scam I've had on this Craigslist ad and it's only been up for 6 days!
Received a text message from the same number for a curio cabinet listed on Craigslist. I'm in Pennsylvania. Scam? Didn't chance it. Craigslist first rule: DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one rule and avoid 99% of scam attempts.
