This caller claimed to be from the Breast Cancer Research fund and was asking for me by name. Looking at the comments here for this number, it seems to be yet another scammer that changes tactics. I love this website!
Just had a call from this number, Caller ID listed them as Chicago, IL, but the voice said it was from a breast cancer fund. The call seemed automated, but when I asked if I was speaking with a real person, the voice switched from a recording to a live person who assured me she "was using a computer but [I was] speaking with a real, live person" (whatever all that means). I told her that the call seemed real fake, said good-bye, and hung up. Vaguely creepy.
Just received a professional sounding call from a woman claiming to be from a breast cancer fund. Asked for us by name. Told her we don't respond to phone solitation and not to bother calling again as we will be dropping our landline on July 1st. We are looking forward to a quiet summer.
