Last week, I did no more than update my address with the Texas Comptroller's office for my tax permit.
Apparently that alone sent me to a new list which was released to all these telemarketers. Today in just thirty minutes I got calls from three of them with two calls less than five minutes apart.
Just now, I got a call from this number asking if I accepted Visa. Then they hung up.
Earlier, I called the comptroller's office and read them the riot act over the release of data. I don't care if it's under the FOIA. The state is participating in something that allows the harassment of businesses by others which don't know the meaning of politeness. Any time I tell them to remove my number from their list I get an angry response then hung up on.
