I too received a call from "Liz" threating to send this case to Washington County. Its been my experience that this is simply a scare tactic. Any collection agency, and ones that try to come accross as attorneys MUST BE LICENSED IN YOUR STATE or it is illegal. So I would suggest you check the web site for your state. I think she said the name of the company is Carl Brook & Associates, she sounded like she was talking while eating....
Call family members saying that I defrauded a loan. She said her name was Liz Oneal. She wanted to work out . So I goggle the number sms info. Got that the call came out of Peerless Communications out of Chicago Illinois. So it is a landline phone no answer. I notified BBB, FTC, Illinois Attorney General, FBI, sms etc and they aré on this casé. By the way debt collector cant harass you Its against the law. So I am interested to find out. Beware scammmmmmm.
A woman from this same number called my elderly mother in law and left message that her son was a victim of identity theft with case number 23917 and if no one calls in 24 hours they were sending it to Nevada county office. It smelled of a scam so a search of the number on Google led me to this site and this complaint. The caller identified herself as Liz.

I received a voice message flagged as "very important" from this number today. The caller identified herself as Liz O'neal calling from Cole Brook & Associates (or something sounding very similar). She left me a case number and said that I needed to hear from her within 24 hours if I wanted the case to stay out of Miami Dade. This sounded like a scam so I googled the number and was led to this site. Beware!
P.S. like a previous poster said, she sounded like she was eating while leaving the message. LOL.
