My ex husband received a call from Paul Mackenzie from Cohen Law firm in reference to a legal matter. Mr. Mackenzie then turned around and called my cell phone. Ive been divorced 2 years and he had most of the information correct. He said it was a courtesy call that charges were pending and wanted to let me know and asked if I wanted to resolve it today. I explained that my account had been hacked and I had received threatening phone calls in the past that were scams and that I had already looked up the phone and the law firm. The law firm is in California and he was calling me from Chicago. He then back tracked and stated that the file had gone to a different law firm and that it had been contracted out. I then told him that I have an attorney and will let him know. He then became frazzled and stated he would make a decision by the end of the day even though he had already said charges had been filed? Yeah this is a complete scam!!!

He even said that they would subpoena my employer, my tax records and anything showing my assets. Don't believe these people.

This IS A SCAM! Paul McKenzie called my husband on 11/19 & 11/20 stating to be with Magen Cohen Law firm and that he was representing Advance America and that my husbnad owed money. We asked for a statement mailed to us and he refused and began screaming at us. Luckily, I work for a collections atty and knew what to say. My husband called Advance America and was told it is a scam and they do not use atty's offices. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY! they will try to intimidate you into geving them your credit card info! DONT DO IT!!!

Also, my husband googled mapped the address: 4 E Odgen Avenue #109 Westmont, IL 60559 and called a business in the same area and that business told hi that a grocery store is at that address. Mr Mckenzie also screwed up and left another # 312-878-1209 to call him back on...well, this ia a totally different law firm and she called me back and said they didnt have an emplorer by that name! HMMM
