You know why they dial up and hang-up before they talk to people? they are telemarketers paid by a publishing company to solicit subscribers for there technical or whatever magazine they have which are paid by advertisers. So, the telemarketer is trying to show they contacted umpteen customers so they can be paid accordingly by the publisher without putting the effort into it!
Missed the call on my cell phone, no message left. I called the number back and a recorded message played, saying this was the "customer care center" for a publishing company, offering free subscriptions. It offered the chance to leave a name and phone number for removal from their call list.
SOB called my cell and hung up before could answer - no message. as "me" above said it is a call center for a publisher claiming it complies with all laws and ethics. I cannot see how they can claim that lie while I am on a no call list. Said to leave a message and if the call was in error (of course it was) leave your number to be removed - ha what a joke. The final insult was the mail box was full (probably for of peole shouting at hem like I was about too).
Called, couldn't get the phone in time, no message was left. tried calling the number back, just got beep beep beep, like the number was disconnected. googled the number and came to this site
