received a call from this number today - do not recognized so did not answer, I have been getting a lot of annoying sales calls and get rich quick scheme calls lately. Of course, this number left no message. I wish there was a way to block these people from my cell phone. Wasteing my expensive cell phone minutes.
I just signed up for free coupons online at getitfree.us It was some link I found from Facebook where women can get free samples and coupons. Turns out there is a button for men to do so as well. As soon as I did that, I received a call from this number. A female identified herself as being from "women get it free" or something like that. She asked if I had over $10,000 in credit card debt. I asked what that had to do with free coupons and she said that they were just offering their services and again asked if I had over $10,000 in credit card debt. I replied that I had no interest for any credit card or related service and only was interested in free samples and coupons. She said that was fine, but asked, "Have your credit card companies told you that you no longer have to pay any finance charges?" I replied, "No." She started to give me information and I stopped her and asked if she could just mail me the information. She said that she would, but she needed to transfer me to someone else. About 10 seconds later, some guy gets on the line and says, "I understand that you are interested in some information on debt consolidation." I state that I absolutely did not want that information and I had no interest in that. I repeat the conversation and the gentleman says that he will contact the woman's supervisor, however, he states that they do not actually sign me up for anything there, blah blah. I was so upset at the "bait and switch" like tactics of this company, that I said again that I had no interest in any such thing and that the female inferred that this was something new about not paying financial charges. He said, "It is true. If you are in the program." I asked to speak to his supervisor. His name was Greg. It went about the same, with Greg stating that there is a program that can reduce my debt. I told him I wasn't interested and he said that he would remove my number.
