IF you owed the state money, you would have received MAIL - not a cold call. It is also illegal to claim to be a government employee (which I doubt they are).
Called and said they were from internal revenue Illinois - wanted my personal info - foreigner - told her that if she called again if contact the FBI and tell them she tried to recruit me for ISIS and she hung up.
Just got a call from 312 893 4829 and they left a voicemail saying they were from the IL Dept of Revenue and it was of "utmost" importance to call back but gave no further info. This is a scam. The woman said her name was "Mrs. Cordova."
