These are some sort of scam operation. They have an address from about 5 years ago & say I ordered 10-15 magazines & now they are collecting. Never happened! I usually don't answer & they leave no message.
Called and asked for me by name....did not identify who was calling and did not identify who she was representing....when I told the woman calling that "yes, this is...." she told me that there was a call holding for me. Needless to say, I hung up immediately. In checking who the number belongs to, it is Portfolio Recovery, apparently calling about a credit card that I have not had in years and that is way past the Statute of Limitations for the state of Texas.

Portfolio Recovery...apparently now resorting to tactics to make it look like a personal call is coming in. Name on caller ID was Gerald M but number is for Portfolio. Should have realized it was a sleazeball collection agency calling about a credit card that I have not had for years and that is past the Statute of Limitations.

The called saying they were collecting debt for a hospital er visit. I had gotten a bill from them a few days earlier and she told me i was going to collections if i didn't give her a receipt # from when I payed it. The amount doesn't jive with the actual bill i got from the hospital and the visit was only a month ago. They don't send you to collections that soon.
