Called my cell phone. Told the woman (who could hardly speak english)...that it was illegal to call cell phones to solicit business. In the middle of telling her never to call again...she hung up.
I have gotten this call many times. Person with heavy accent offering duct cleaning. I know it's a scam. As I was scrolling through my landline caller ID, I noticed that 100% of the 100 calls were from scammers and telemarketers which are not allowed. I used to report every call to donotcall.gov and that did absolutely nothing. Ive just realized why these calls are clearly permitted. The landline companies would go out of business were it not for these fraud calls. All of my personal calls go to my cell. I can easily block scammers on my cell phone-not so easy on my landline. This landline is exhausting with these scammers having easy access to my home and personal life.
This same caller tried to sell their HVAC scam to me, by calling my unlisted cell phone...so I played along and had them come out to a different (address across the street) to perform the alleged service and when they finally showed they called my cell b/c they couldn't find my address. When I answered I told them it was too late I hired someone local to do the HVAC work. They drove an unmarked white van no windows no decals and temporary tags. I only saw one person exit the van, the driver and he was wearing dark blue or black jumpsuit and black baseball cap. He looked reptilian...lol.
Unwelcome call on my unlisted land line @2:11 p.m. on 8/8/2016. I hate running to see who is calling. This is very annoying. I will block it, but really I can only block 250 calls and I keep getting 5-10 calls a day. This is crazy. Sometimes I delete a number from months ago only to have to re-block it. Some of them are the similar exchanges. Thank you for this site that helps us identify these spam callers.
