Free Vacation to Orlando. Very nice but it is a scam. When I got past the robo caller, I was able to talk to someone that I mentioned it was the FTC, Chicago Office and they stammered got the wrong number. I called back this time I mentioned FBI, Chicago Office and they didn't know what to do at this point. I mentioned I am on the Federal and State Do Not Call List, and my phone line is wired to the FTC Chicago; so the conversation has been recorded. They will be out to arrest them.
Caller ID shows Starnet Inc, 312-948-8746, Chicago, IL, just received my first and only call, since I'm going to add this number to my blocked calls log. Never answer calls from #'s I don't recognize since 99% of the time they're scammers. When are they going to learn we're not falling for this anymore?
telling me i recently stayed in one of their resorts - i haven't - and now qualified for a free vacation, which includes a cruise and breakfast... unwanted and very annoying
I received a call from this number today. No message was left. I must be on some scam call list. I'm told once these type of callers get you on their radar, they will try any number of schemes, and they can be relentless in their efforts. But I'm relentless also, in that I'm watchful. If they want dial me up every single day, it's fine by me. Most of the calls are automatically blocked, and I ignore the ones that don't get blocked. They will never swindle me out of so much as a penny. Thus if they are comfortable with not getting paid for their efforts, so am I. Serves them right .
