Total scam. Ignore and block the number. Courts don't send out letters authorizing people to sue. It's up to private attorneys to file suit on behalf of their clients. This person is just trying to scare you into paying him something. Don't fall for it. Extensive complaints on the internet about this Mr Davis and his extortion attempts.
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. If you can find them.
Some white male called, asking me to verify my phone number to look up an account saying I owed "First National Capital". He did not give me a total or account number. He said that they had been trying to send me letter stating that they were suing me for a payment that I didn't honor in 2013. I have no recollection of this and no one has tried to reach me in the past. He said I would be getting a letter in 2 weeks from the courts, to sue me. He tried to get me to authorize my address... I cut the conversation short..

I got a call there was a message left that said it was "mr davis" and that his office has had no response from me or my attorney and I need to call asap...... Ivr been getting this same call from different numbers for about a year
I received this call from "Mr. Davis" that I need to call back asap in reference to a pending case or else. I called the number back and they were clearly a fradulent and roguecompany seeking what fools to threaten, intimidate, and ultimately defraud. These people are absolutely disgusting and should get a life.
I also received a call from Mr. Davis from Fraud Dept saying he couldn't get a hold of me or my retained attorney on a case. I have no case and no attorney so I presumed this was a fraud. When I called back the number there is just an answering machine.
