This type of illegal and outrageous behavior of Diversified Consultants should not be tolerated. Diversified Consultants should be reported for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 USC Chapter 41, Subchapter V.

The number 904-694-3141 is a direct number for a "Mavis Tye" a so called compliance manager for Diversified Consultants, but she is just a stupid [***] who doesn't know anything about collection laws and procedures.  Diversified Consultants is all over the ripoff report and is replete with complaints all over the internet.  Do not pay them anything, do not talk to them, they don't do anything except lie.  Thankfully, there are sites like the ripoff report, complaints board, etc. that do not remove posts, so that the company is forever deadlocked by the report, where not even God can remove it.  Companies such as Diversified would do well in a non-digital age, but now freedom of speech has a whole new meaning.

They called demanding payment for a cell phone and gave my name. Then asked if that was me I said yes then gave a date of birth(not mine) and asked to confirm it. I told them it was not but before I realized what was going on I gave them my correct date of birth. it made me panic a bit with trying to give the correct info to prove that I  owed no bill as I am 80 Years Old. He gave a fake social number and other info I guess hoping I would give the rest later. I don't even have a cell phone.

Unfortunately, one's date of birth is said to unlock more private data about us than even SSN. When a stranger calls and demands money, the flow of information should be set one way, from the caller to you. This could be a real debt collector with a typically fraudulent business model, or it could be just some schmuck with a phone. It could well be the latter, prodding you with false data hoping you'll be nice enough to correct him.
